Warrior Forum Rules & Etiquette for Posting

WSO Marketplace Rules

List of the best all in one, knowledge compendium threads

You are a moderator

If a spammer comes on board it only takes few of you to make his posts vanish into thin air. Just use that Report Post button. Their posts will go into "Moderated" status and no one will see them. It gives admins and super mods time enough to come along and delete them for good.

Working together and taking the time out to use that button makes it very easy for members to keep this forum clean.

Help us out when you can...

A couple explanations about the two reporting option:

The Report Post Button:

The report post button is for serious issues like a spammer invading us. When you see a spam post use the report post button on those.

The Add An Infraction Button:

The add an infraction to a member button is for warning another member that they are making some mistake. Like crazy sig files or insulting other members. This helps us out a lot because it allows you to warn a member without a report post also appearing in the Mod forum.

If members use the report post button to report a sig file it causes us a lot of unnecessary hassle when the member could have just used the infraction button and warned them directly.

All infractions expire in one hour so if you happen to get one don't freak out and don't start a post about it. :-) Just heed what the member is trying to warn you about.

Very Important: It's important to understand the differences of the buttons above. The report post button is the button that helps us all make spammers vanish. The infraction button only sends a warning to a member. If you run across an obvious spammer then always use the report post button.

What does this mean and what must you do to overcome it?

        Yes, it does.

However, thanks posts violate the rules. That's what the thanks button is for. Since they violate the rules, they may get deleted which won't help.

The forum doesn't want useless posts. That's in the rules too. It wants helpful replies and discussion. Those who are solely trying to increase their post count, will typically get in trouble with post deletions or even bans because they don't understand the purpose.

For example, whatever most new members want to post has probably already been asked many times before. Most of those types of questions are deleted by the moderators. What basic questions CPA, SEO, social media, product creation, copywriting, etc. hasn't been asked and answered many times? Very few. So, those posts are deleted, and the mods will request the new member to search the forum for similar questions and their answers.

So, what's the answer? Become part of the community. Help others out. In many cases, even the newest newbie has experience or things they can add to a discussion. Ask and answer questions without doing so just to get post counts or signature views up.

I read the rules but can't add a product review thread, yet i have plenty more than 5 posts on my account as per the rules. Are there different rules for product reviews?
    thanks

Not sure - but most of your 'post count' is from today. The post requirements in 'reviews' may be more strict because too many try to 'review' their own product or 'rant' about someone else's.

Not concerned about your 'vibe' - had you read the forum rules you would know new threads must be approved before they appear. If a thread is not approved you are advised of that - and should not repost it.

What you are asking is almost a full tutorial of projections for 2022+ - reviews of multiple services - and more questions on top of that. It would require a tutorial rather than a forum post to answer.

If you want to ask WHAT site builder you can use within certain parameters instead of asking for details/reviews of multiple options...you could do that. In other words, you are welcome to ask detailed questions - but not all of them in one post. If a thread is 'not approved' - do not keep reposting it. As you were told when you first posted - profanity doesn't fly here....not because it's 'shocking' but because it's not respectful nor professional.

If you want to 'call out' a Moderator - guess I'm as good as any.

Needing some help here. I wrote an original article. I posted it in Email Marketing. It was removed and the comment I received was

"good info - but copy/paste articles not permitted"

So, what is the super secret sauce to having my own content allowed?

From Copyscape: "The page below has 539 words matching 100% of the text"

I agree - it was an 'original article' - posted on your blog. WF is not an article directory and copy/paste isn't permitted as a 'forum post'.

I do think this 'rule' is being diluted by the trend toward 'curated' info by Admin and it might be time to revisit some of the rules - but not my call.

    May rewrite for here.

That would work and it's what some members do. Articles are not forum posts and copy/paste has never been permitted - even from your own site.

The benefit is that when you write intelligent, knowledgeable posts here...member often click on your sig link to learn more.

Makes sense, really. Thanks for clarifying. I rewrote the article and it's been a while with no word.
