Freelancer.com Support Needs Sorting Out

Hello guys,

I don't know whether any of you has been through an ordeal like this, but I want to share my story knowing full well that Warrior Forum owns Freelancer.com and that hopefully, they'll have this looked into IF they read this.

I lost my domain thecashaccount.co.uk and with it, my email address va@thecashaccount.co.uk so when I log on to Freelancer.com and they send me a 6-digit verification code to my email, I have no way of retrieving it because I no longer have that email address.

I've written to Support half a dozen times about this and their response is always as follows:

"We know how important this is to you however, upon checking, I can see that this email address is not associated to any Freelancer.com Account. Please communicate with us from the email address associated with your account so that we can look further into this matter."

And every time I write back to explain my story, I get the same response. It's like they're not actually reading my emails. It's like they're not HUMAN. However, on one occasion, someone wrote back and told me they'd activated authentication via my mobile number associated with the account and that I should try to log in again, I tried multiple times but I never received a login code via SMS. Was it a technical glitch? At least that time, someone HUMAN had read my email. I wrote back and all I've received thereafter are these disconnected emails that clearly suggest nobody is reading my messages.

There has to be a way to resolve this, but Freelancer Support just cannot be bothered.

Can anyone here suggest a way forward?

Thank you,

Anthony

You have this a bit wrong - Freelancer owns Warrior Forum - not the other way around.

I do understand the frustration as I've run into the same thing with Adsense and a few other sites. No one here can solve this for you but I'm hopeful WF Admin will be able to call FL's attention to your problem and thus get you some help. It will likely be a day or two before he sees this but nothing else the forum can do.

We talk about high tech and about apps and A.I. - but it's surprising how many sites cannot/do not handle a problem as simple as a changed email address.

    • Thanks for your feedback, much appreciated. Very true, it's incredible how some of these platforms can't get it together. I lost my ASCAP email address the same way, but they have a phone number to call in New York. They asked me just one question which only I would know the answer to, and wham, they changed my email address for me immediately.

Could you send me on private message the ticket number for this? I'll see how this could be escalated to the proper department.

    Thanks.
