Is there a WP theme, plugin, or script that can create a page with a video background like these?

Hi,

Does anyone know how I can build a page with a video background like these two pages below? I peeked at the first one and Jeff Walker is using LeadPages but I don't want to pay monthly fee's. I contacted Optimize Press to see if OP2 would work and they said not at this time but it might be available as an addon later.

Is there a WP theme, plugin, or script available that can do this?

Thank you very much.

Someone might come along with something to get you by, but ultimately you're going to be very limited relying on push button systems like WordPress. There is always going be that cutting edge trade-off for simplicity.

uuhmm... video? what are you talking about. you just make an animated gif to use on your background! You can convert videos to animated gifs and just set it as background. Easy stuff
+ find leading page template for wordpress = done
google : website animated gif background

Bandwidth may be an issue for gifs of that size. You can stretch gifs of smaller dimensions, but there will be a serious loss of image quality.

Here's a quick primer on the topic:

Ofc i did. in fact i studied the productlaunchformula case and i found the images (google search) .
        look :
        Code:
        http://productlaunchformula.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/3keys-1.jpg
        http://productlaunchformula.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/3keys-4.jpg

        http://productlaunchformula.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/3keys-5.jpg
So i would really appreciate if you don't speak out of experience, because i am not. Just because you pay money to a website it doesn't mean it's a different technique. It's just images

I don't say it's impossible to set an actual video on background, it doesn't make sense. It's like writing with left hand when you are a righty. It's nonsense. You are not going to have audio on it because you can't have start play button, so why bother to make it the hardest website to load when you want to have the appealing of a fast loading clean looking lead page?
That's why even LeadPages use images to create the illusion of videos.
In fact videos are just a succession of images with high speed combined with audio , like for example a movie with 24 fps means 24 Frames Per Second, meaning 24 images per second ( and that is a low quality movie) . That result in very huge size compared to images. You don't want that ! You want maybe a 5 or lower Fps converted .
        Now everything is clear enough?
Don't believe me? Go ahead and make a video in background and see how your search rank and bounce rate will be with that enormous load time .

Videos have much more size because they have a lot of FPS, with a gif converter you can delete them and keep only 3 FPS or whatever and even if the gif is 800x600 will be less size than any short video

PS: i wouldn't use an actual video format on my background even if a website would pay me to do that

Thanks but I just wanted to make sure we were on the same page (figuratively speaking) before proceeding...

Since they are images on Jeff Walkers page and not video, how do you get the images to change? Does that require a special script? Do you know where I can get something that will do that?

Never used something like that but let me take a little time to search

            .
            .
            .
            .
            .
            .
            .
( this took me like a couple of minutes so you owe me a beer ! )
It's a jquery script : Simple jQuery Background Image Rotator - Blog Post - Diplo
You can set up as many images as you want and set up the time between rotations. Ofc you can hire somebody good at this to make one that even have an effect when switching from image to image, but why to complicate it right?
Keep it simple, not too many images and not too big, so that people will like what they see but also how fast they see it.

I mean look at the code to call how simple it is:
            Code:
            $("body").bgrotate({ delay: 4000, imagedir: "/images/backgrounds/", images: ["249.jpg", "335.jpg", "419.gif", "87.jpg", "96830.png"] });
            Hope it helps, cheers

    BIGVIDEO.JS
THE JQUERY PLUGIN FOR BIG BACKGROUND VIDEO (AND IMAGES)

    dfcb.github.io/BigVideo.js

his plugin makes it easy to add fit-to-fill background video to websites. It can play silent ambient background video (or series of videos). Or use it as a player to show video playlist. BigVideo.js can also show big background images, which is nice to have for showing big background images for devices that don’t have autoplay for ambient video.
