Simple comments plugin

Hey, happy new year,

I need a plugin on y WP site that substitutes the classical commenting system, but in a simple way:

I don't want any karma system or Social media integration, or anything like that, I just wat a plugin that allows the possibility of hierarchical reply to specific comments, instead of the classical "one after the next", which makes difficult discussions. Of course, I want it to look good and to not get messed up when many subreplies are posted.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, I just want something like reddit comments, but without karma or any other fancy feature. Just name, email, website and comments, like the classical version.

Thanks.
Best, AS

I've already seen that plugin, but seems kind of overwhelming all the options it provides.
For example, about the users, do visitor need to register? Or have a FB or Twitter acc or something? If so, it wouldn't work for me. I'll try it anyway

I wouldn't go to Disqus because a lot of people refuse to comment, me included, on blogs that use it.

Sounds to me like you're talking about a threaded comment system. That can be done with the standard Wordpress comment system. You just need to set it up in the settings.

WordPress already includes "threaded" comments. If you reply to a comment, it offsets it to differentiate it from the rest of the comments.

    Login to your admin dashboard.

    Go to Settings > Discussion.

You will see a checkbox "Enable threaded (nested) comments [X] levels deep".

Check that box and specify the number of levels it can go into.

    Simple way to do it.

However, if your theme doesn't support it (involves some CSS), then you might have to change some css.

    Regards.
