Just use WordPress. There is a small learning curve, but you don't need to know HTML etc. It's easy and fast and there are a ton of tutorials online if you get stuck somewhere.

If you are going to build a website, it would be good for you to learn some of this anyway, even if its only to be able to talk with someone who builds a site for you.

I agree wholeheartedly with SteveB, wordpress is low stress to learn. You do have to put the meta tags in yourself, but its not hard to do once you do it a couple of times, and seriously I mean just a couple of times of practice. WP was originally a way for anyone to publish to the internet and does many of the functions you used to need coders to do for you.

I'm going to say the same thing as everyone else, as will probably anybody else that posts. Use WordPress. It's easy to use, has a huge community for support and endless plugins that will help you achieve exactly what you need.

Wordpress is #1. I used to code websites myself until I discovered that 95% of the code is written for you with a friendly backend. The possibilities are endless with Wordpress. Install themes, plugins, etc.

FYI - WordPress was used by more than 23.3% of the top 10 million websites as of January 2015.

I agree, wordpress is a great way to go and there are plenty of SEO type plug-ins.

But you still need to learn keyword research, how to use the best keywords, ect. Neither wordpress or a plug-in can do that for you.
