Good day to everyone reading this.

I am in the process of updating my current company website. I have to say that I am happy with the overall changes, though there is always room for improvement. If you could please take a look at Infinity Online Solutions - Website Design, AdWords, SEO and tell me what you like and/or dislike about the website, I would appreciate the feedback.

Please note that I am also in the process of updating the content, so some pages may seem a tad underpopulated.

Thanks in advance.
Josh.

All in all not to bad. I am not sure I would leave your logo in the upper left to itself. I would probably include your company name in there.

Your slider... The separation of a slider that works for you and one that works against you comes down to a call to action on each and every slide. ( https://www.gmail.com/intl/en/mail/help/about.html - as a point of reference 1 product 3 slides with 3 different points and all images have a call to action ) Sure its google, but all the more reason to follow the pattern.

Load time on the east coast USA is real slow - as in 10+ seconds slow ( and I tried it more than once )

I am currently experimenting with 3 different logo variants. One centered and 2 on the left (One with the company name). Thanks for confirming my doubts on just using the logo.

The slides will all be replaced, I designed that slider about 2 years ago and it definitely needs an update. I may decide to have a video slider with one call to action at the end. The video may actually decrease load time as I recall there were a ton of elements in the current sliders.

As for load time. I know my security plugins cause a bit of a lag though I'm willing to sacrifice for the peace of mind. My social sharing plugin also does, though it only loads after all the local resources do thus not really affecting the user experience. I am making use of a CDN, though I should possibly have the cache rebuilt. Then there are also the constant image quality vs load time sacrifices to make.

Thanks for the input, much appreciated.

I also agree that the lag is a problem. It did actually cause me to miss out on some of the content in the main slider when I first looked. But after a little while I noticed it began to move (I would have missed it if I had not been examining the page for input).

Also the columns text may be better if they were more uniformed. The centered text isn't very pleasing. Maybe try to align text to the left or make it look more like a newspaper (text goes to the edges no matter how many words).

Other than that I love the logo and the feel. It does give the idea that you can get anything you need for an online business there.

Page load is one of those overall elements that effect a lot more than we are usually willing to admit. It to some extent effects SEO and it effects CRO. I understand the need for security and sliders and social plugins. I use them. And to be honest I don't have a page that loads as slow as yours.

There are studies that show for every second that a page takes to load you are losing 7% of your viewers ( 10 seconds is a pausible 70% bounce even before your page loads ) - If I wasn't specifically looking at your page to critique it to be honest you would have lost me.

And ok I can understand your homepage being a bear to load.. but the same was true even with the interior pages. there is a load issue. and you can rationalize all you want with this.. but the devil is in the details.. and this is one of those details. You should not have to "Sacrifice" but you do need to correct this issue for sure - something is just not right.

I do realize the importance of load time, the Wallmart study confirms it, though as mentioned, it is in the process of being redesigned and I tend to focus on optimization after I'm done with aesthetics and functionality. (Disregarding images that are optimized prior to uploading.) I find that as a web developer, I barely have time to focus on my own site, so progress will be made incrementally. Lol.

I've been working on possible optimizations. Minifying JS, HTML, etc as well as leveraging browser caching, server caching and integrating that with my CDN. Overall speed performance has increased, though my security plugins are still using around 300-500ms of load time. My social plugin is almost taking a second to load, though I can rationalize that, as the social icons only load after all the other elements and thus will not interfere much with the user experience.

I will likely gain another 15-25% speed increase when I eventually replace the slider. For now the ratings on Google Page Speed, GTmetrix and Pingdom are acceptable to me.

  • Overall it look good. The only real criticism I have is the images you are using in the header. These don't look very sharp and have a fuzzy quality to them. One of them (with the Google Logo) is clearly displaying in the wrong aspect ratio, making the Google logo look squashed. It looks like you're either enlarging the images to fit the space on your site or saving the images as low quality JPEGs. This really does take the shine off what would otherwise be a really nice site.

    Hey Josh,
I must say that website layout is perfect and modern.
Being a designer myself I have few suggestion.
To Much colors you have used red as main color then there is green for icon and blue is also there and on about us page I am seeing some pink color.
To many colors take away the professional look from a website.
My second suggestion will be on about us page banner on top, it look blur to me.
    Please work on it.
Also with all other inner pages I found to many different color pattern which is distracting me from actual message.
    Hope this will work...
    Thanks
