How to get popup off my computer

How can I get a popup off my windows XP computer. The popup is called
getprivate shopper. It pops up constantly, and prevents me from getting where I want to go.

Every time I go to a different site, it blocks the site, and displays its banner.

I have looked in my control panel, and searched the add remove list, and it is not there.

I followed directions from the internet, for removing it from my Mozilla browser, without success. Several sites said to click on tools, and then add ons, and I could remove it there, but it is not there. I have looked everywhere in mozilla, and I do not see it.

This malware has slowed my computer to a crawl, and is effecting everything I do. Hopefully someone has a solution.

    If that is not right for you, you could try installing malwarebytes. That may find and expel it (as well as all the others that are probably lurking in your system)

      Google removal of it, there are a bunch of results that come up you can use based on your level of skill.

      I'd also suggest downloading malwarebytes, it's a solid tool for removing unwanted applications.

      Either way, I'd suggest upgrading your OS, XP is no longer supported by Microsoft, so security issues will no longer be patched.

    Haven't used a windows machine for many years now, but I used to use a bit of software I think was called Adaware to get rid of malware and popups. I'm not sure if it's still available
