Looking for a clean WP theme

Hello folks,

I'm looking for a solid WP theme that allows me to talk a little about myself as a writer. I want it it to display customer reviews in a nice way, talk about my writing skills, have some writing samples, etc.

All this I want to present in a very clean way. So far, I haven't found a theme that does that well. I don't want a "heavy" theme that slows things down with lots of bells and whistles, but it should look professional.

I kinda like the "Altitude Pro Theme" from Studiopress. Anyone has experience with this one?

Also, I have not been able to find something fitting on Themeforest.

Any suggestions?

    Hi there, that theme looks great and although I never had any experience with it I would definetely pick it up.

    It is hard for me to believe that you haven't found something to suit your needs on themeforest considering the huge amound of themes and diversity found there but if this is the case I would suggest to have a look at ElegantThemes right here:http://www.elegantthemes.com

    Hope you will find something to suit your needs and keep in mind when choosing a theme that most of them will come with some sort of a visual composer so it will be very easy for you to customize it as you wish.

    Hi,

    You can check out Template Monster (Website Templates | Web Templates | Template Monster). They have a large variety of themes available. I've had good luck finding the perfect theme for some of my projects.

    Have you looked at Headway Themes (http://headwaythemes.com/)? They use a fully customizable drag and drop designer where you can create your own customized theme.

    Another option would be to create a child theme. This is a great option if you like an existing theme but just want to make a few subtle changes.

    Thanks guys for the tips!

    I almost settled actually for the Enfold theme on Themeforest, but after playing around with it, I realized that a flashy and kind of heavy theme like that can create so many issues that I decided to finally settle for the very minimal look Genesis framework.

    My philosophy is that a simple and clean theme with the focus on the text is the superior way.

    Does this make sense to you guys?

      That makes complete sense to me as it is my philosophy also. The simpler it is the better it is.

      As long as it is simple and it serves its purpose I strongly believe it is the right call to use it.
