That's really hard to do if you are new to these stuff . I suggest you go to namecheap.com . Use the live support . They are absolutely amazing . You can ask for articles and etc on whatever you need . You can also buy SSL from them . I bought a Comodo SSL from them and I'm happy with it . They also helped me a lot in setting up the SSL and the changes in wordpress .

Sorry, but this stuff is impossible to explain to a five year old. There's a lot of good generic descriptions around the internet, and I suggest you read some of them.

The actual process and even the certificate formats depend on the type of server you're using. It's impossible to answer your questions without more information, and if you know your setup you could just Google it. Some hosts may allow you to install your certs, but it's often something that they have to do because it needs to be configured to the web server software. If you're shaky in this area I'd suggest you to contact your web hotel, and let them deal with it.

Namecheap's Comodo certs are fairly easy to get right by just following instructions, but it's possible that you can't do it yourself in any case.

    Http:// Hyper text transfer Protocol

Https-Securer Hypertext Transfer protocol(Added layer of security by the host providers)

More safer for customer and credit card payments if you have a e-commence type store using HTTPS,so i was taught in my Cisco web Enginnering exams rather than standard HTTP

If you really want to learn the difference visit W3C web usabilty website (Tim burgess lee guides,Founder creator of the HTTP) very Good educational site https://www.instantssl.com/https-tut...-is-https.html(Article on differences on HTTP to Https)

    Here's a link describing SSL - https://www.digicert.com/ssl.htm

Here's the tl;dr version if you're wanting to get it set up with you site -
Your web host usually can take care of the entire process for you, if you purchase it from them, including the redirection from http to https. SSL certificates typically are bought in year(s). And you would need to renew when it expires. When your site is on SSL(https), data from the site will be encrypted. Useful for sites that require login, and basically a must for any eCommerce site. But if your site is something more of an info site, SSL certainly wouldn't be necessary.
