Onclick event triggers an optin box?

Hey guys, I'm using the backdrop template with optimizepress and trying to figure out how to make it so when you click the download button, an optin pops up to capture the users email. Like how leadpages does it. I'm assuming I'll need a 3rd party plugin of some sort but can't seem to find anything that's triggered by a click event.

    Are you comfortable with jquery? Specifically implemeting a jquery plug in with your site?

    I use a jquery plugin called colorbox for this sort of thing.
