There's no alternative for WordPress. It's the best CMS out there.

Integrating with WooCommerce will create a robust online store. And there are many examples of successful online stores running on Wordpress. Plus, you get an option to choose from Thousands of theme. You can also start a blog within the subdomain. Isn't it cool?

    Go with WordPress

I really can't agree Wordpress is the best CMS. Yes it has the most selection of plugins, which by extension makes it perhaps the most versatile CMS. But as a standonly product, IMO it's a mess. Customizing it quickly becomes a nightmare when you have to start messing around with PHP loops and tons of API calls to change anything about the templates. I'm using Expression Engine on my sites, and trying to go from that to Wordpress is like going from Sublime to Notepad.

Having said that, without plugins even the best CMS is just an empty shell, and sadly that's why Wordpress continues to reign.

I second this. Customization of Wordpress is really pain.

I would go with WordPress and WooCommerce. This is going to be the best solution for you. Asking this question makes me think you probably don't have the much web experience and Expression Engine is more for seasoned designers.

Doing a store make sure you get a premium theme, it will cause a lot less headaches.

Just saying something is the best is not good enough. Why is it the best and what features do you need? This will help.

It'll all depend on how you want to use the cms and how well you could adapt to its interface and whatnot. There are heaps of cms you can from. But IMO the easiest cms to use are Joomla and Wordpress. There's also Prestashop and Magento, but I believe they're much more complex than Joomla and Wordpress.

Woocommerce is one of the CMS related to Wordpress for E commerce websites. This is the best for the E-Commerce websites. Next to wordpress there is a opencart technology in this we can insert many user friendly plugins according to our requirements.

  • I personally wouldn't recommend a web builder as they are too basic and they tend to look very generic. I'd personally use Wordpress and then the Woocommerce plugin to add your products. Its simple and easy and it also gives you a checkout where you can add your paypal details for buyers to pay when they come to your website.

I think that there is no "best CMS". Most of them work fine but have different functionalities. It depends on your needs, time to learn how it works, the kind of design that you are looking for, etc. A good solution is Magento. But perhaps I would prefer Shopify, which is a really straightforward and cheap solution.

For me Wordpress is still the best CMS for beginners or have a little knowledge with coding or languages. There is A lot of plugins that you can install in just a second and a lot of themes that you can use right away with a little tweek and you can post it immediately.
