Anyone help me on how to edit the free wordpress theme.

I have created a wordpress blog using free theme. I cannot edit the theme or install plugins. I want to add a javascript in my site. Is it possible ? I tried via widgets>>text. coding not works.

Thanks for your post.

Step one go to Appearance > Editor and open your Theme Header file like this image

Step Two Just paste your code inside the <head></head> tag like this image

  It's ok no problem you can try ftp filezilla client software or open header.php or paste your code inside <head> </head> tag.

Are you trying to add Java to your whole site or just to a specific page?
Also even if you have a free theme you should still be able to go to Appearance and then Editor.
