advice for a directory site?
hello
i am looking to build a directory site in a certain niche, it is currently on a wordpress platform but i am looking to find out what the best option might be to make it a directory.
leave as word press site and include relevant plugins?
buy a directory script?
hire a designer / developer to do it for me?
it is my second website site and i would prefer to build it myself, the concept would be similar to that of Yell.com or Yelp.com
customers search for what they want and a scroll down list of the services/business are provided. business owner can sign up to create their postings, include reviews and ratings etc etc.
if i have been too vague then please tell me! i am looking for the most cost effective and hopefully easier way (not easy in terms of being lazy but Im talking code, php etc, the things i am not too familiar with)
any input you have would be brilliant!
