Using WordPress on cPanel uses up a lot of files. You can have upto 250k files and with several addon sites up and running, you have problems - or at least I do. Any Suggestions?

    Hi Merrall,

Could you please explain the issues you have in a simpler term? I can help you if I understand your question.

    Regards.

Each cPanel allows the owner to upload a maximum of 250,000 files.

As you are probably aware, each installation of Wordpress to an Addon site, adds a considerable number of files .php, in themes, plugins and in incidental folders and so on. If you are running several Addon websites over a period of time, the number of files - including email, and comments, items for sale in Woo - increases dramatically.

Due to a problem with changing servers, I had the pleasure (ahem!) of having to delete over a million excess files, fortunately the team at the ISP company were able to help out and it only took about 3 days to get everything running again.

      Regards

      Andrew
