I think it would highly depend on the content... but I don't think it will be preferd on HTML, PHP or CSS

Generally, websites having Flash contents are not much SEO friendly. It is hard for SEO crawlers to crawl web pages having Flash contents.

Well, there is a way where you can have flash with dynamic text. Dynamic text works just like a normal coded website.

It still has text that you can highlight and copy and paste, so search engines still find it easily.

I've actually discussed this previously in my blog.

    Hope that helps!

I guess a mix of both actually helps. From an SEO standpoint, i really don't recommend a pure flash website.

I believe in a mix of both. Also, i have seen sites that allow the user to choose flash or html. and well, the html site is crawled, and the user is given the choice to enjoy the flash experience if he/she wants to.

Actually flash content can be optimized as long as you know how you will insert your keywords in the video codec or simply in your tags.

Google can now crawl flash text to a certain extent. It's not at the level of plain HTML though.
