Hello Friends, I don't know this is the right place to ask this question or not? But i need help on my website. Someone copied my website posts to their website. He just copy paste more than 100 articles to his website. And their website is getting better rank than my site. And there is no contact or about page on their website.

However, I found one email id through whois. And sent removal message and all. Now its been 4 days he hasn't responded to my mail and not removed any of my posts.. Please help me what is the next step to do? Need proper help or advice so he can remove all my post or Google will remove his website from search engine. i also want to know is there any kind of tool or software available in which i can get message whenever someone steal my content.

Thanks in advance

DMCA takedown is the next step:

The DMCA Takedown Notice provides a mechanism for copyright holders to request an Internet Service Provider (ISP), search engine, host or other type of site-owner/manager to remove material that is infringing their copyright. Unlike other aspects of copyright laws, the DMCA Takedown process does not require you to have a registered copyright. That’s very important to know, because some people may say you do. Before you send a DMCA Takedown Notice you need to establish a few things:

    (1) You own the copyright or have the right to assert infringement of a copyright you license. If you do not own the copyright or have a legal right to assert a claim of copyright infringement, you’re wasting your time.

    (2) The alleged infringement is not covered by an exception such as Fair Use or free speech laws. While you don’t have to know every aspect of Fair Use exceptions, you do have to have a “good faith” belief that the alleged infringing use is not covered by any law which would permit its use.

    (3) The content is capable of being infringed online. That mean the work must be something in digital form. Here are some examples:

Text (TXT, RTF, DOC, DOCx, PDF, PPT, PAGES, etc.)
Images, pictures & photos (BMP, EPS, SVG, JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG, PSD, RAW, TIFF, etc.)
Video (MPG, AVI, RM, MOV, Quicktime, Windows Media Player, RealPlayer)
Music & audio (AIF, AU, MP3, MP4, MID, WAV, etc. )
Images found on Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, Flickr
Once you’ve determined these three things, and you are sure you want to file the DMCA Takedown Notice, there are very exacting provisions of the law you must comply with or the receiving agent may ignore your request. Here are the steps to use when filing a DMCA Takedown Notice.

Also, for future reference, if you're using WordPress, there is a setting that will prevent anyone from copying (and then subsequently pasting) your material from your website. Essentially it prevents users from highlighting text and then copying it. This will prevent future theft of your posts!

This is a common problem many website owners face. One thing I didn't understand "And their website is getting better rank than my site."

Did you check their site age? When did they post? Did you compare your posting and their posting date?

Normally if your articles get indexed by Google then same articles won't be indexed by other websites. So be sure about that.

Are you sure you've done one page seo properly when you've published your articles? Google won't check each article manually as you need to tell google following basic seo rules that your articles are the original ones and if someone posts the same articles then that should be counted as duplicates.

Whatever they did that was wrong and yo should take legal action but be careful in future about your on page SEO.

You can also use a right click disable plugin on your website. But if someone wants to steal he/she will be able to do that.

    Thanks :-)

WarriorWasim Thanks for the reply. And yes their website is ranking high than my site. Their website is just 7 to 8 months old and my 3 years old and of course my posting date is also earlier.

Simple, report to Google. That fixes the problem.

Just report it to Google and showing them that you're the original owner/poster of all the articles. The Big G will take action on the copycat, since they hate plagiarism.

There are few things to stop people from copying your blog content.

1: CopyScape Banner: Place a CopyScape Banner on your blog to give a warning message to people who want to steal your content.
2: Send Polite e-mail: First step that you can take is sending a polite email to the website owner informing that he had copied content from my website. Copying content is illegal and asks him to remove your copyrighted work. Wait for a response from website owner for the next 5-6 business days.
3: Cease and Desist Notice: If nothing happens with your polite email, you can think of sending Cease and Desist (Also known as C&D) notice to the website owner. Here is a cease and desist sample that you can edit as per your requirement.
4: DMCA Letter to web host: Another thing that you can do is send a DMCA letter to the web host of that website. As per law, web hosts are supposed to take strict actions against websites that copies copyrighted work from other websites.
5: DMCA letter to Google Adsense: If the website that had copied content from your website is using Google Adsense can send a DMCA letter to Google Adsense. This is one of the strong actions that you can take where the website owner can get banned from Google Adsense. In that case, all of his revenue coming through Google Adsense will be gone.
6: DMCA letter to others: Apart from Google Adsense, you can send DMCA letters to other services from where this website is generating business
7: Legal actions: If nothing works, you can think of filing a lawsuit.

Hope this will help also in future to protect your website contents.
