There are many ways to launch your first blog. I was wondering which CMS you guys prefer for blogging? Can you share their pros and cons?

    Pros:
    1. Its Free
    2. Its highly customizable even without experience
    3. Adding posts is easy and you can get different editors or do it in HTML
    4. You can save media locally
    5. You are in charge of the SEO and can manage it easily
    6. You can design it however you like
    7. Its stable and you have great security options

    Cons:

    1. Lots of spammy comments if you dont have the right spam blocker/captcha
    2. Spammers love targetting wordpress sites so it messes with your referal traffic numbers
    3. ... Thats about it

    For beginner i suggest you to using Blogger. It is totally free and You can get more customize themes. Blogger offer full access to edit HTML.
    After getting good response from blog, then suggest you to go for Wordpress.
