Hi everyone
I was just wondering if any of you have a checklist that you have when you're creating a website?
I'm part way through revamping my site and I'm at a stage where I've added some pages and posts but really would like advice on what plugins are a must, which pages you always need and maybe what's important on the from page of your site, I realise every site is different and each site will have a different need, but do you check off every stage of your site, do you still submit to search engines, do you still try and get back Links?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

    The biggest thing is to make the site mobile friendly if it has not been updated in a long time. As far as plugins make sure it has wordfence or something along those lines. Other plugins depend on different things and you will see different of opinions along those lines.

    One final note, make sure it is https compliant now a days.

    My Gantt Chart shows this as my website creation process:

    1 Install Wordpress
    2 Install Plugins
    3 Install Theme
    4 Add YouTube video
    5 Add authority links
    6 About/Contact/Privacy pages
    7 Create blog post
    8 Creat logo/favicon
    9 Setup social accounts
    10 Setup posting schedule

    As for the questions of the Wordpress plugin to install. This changes and evolves so much that I no longer keep a standard list. But something that speeds up your site - shrinks images, caches your site, and connects it to a CDN, Anti-Spam - used to be Yoast SEO, but i find it pointless now and a bit of a burden.
