Hi Forum Readers,

I have recently started a business solutions company. I have a couple of questions about billing and website design, specifically, legal questions.

#1 is it legal to charge a company to design and publish a website on a platform like Wix?
#2 is it legal to handle the billing for them, so the customer does not have to pay Wix and me, they would just pay me, and I would process their payments?

Legal advice on a forum is not a good idea - check the TOS of WIX.

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.

Yes of course you can do those things. It's just like any business that uses software and things in the background on behalf of a client. As long as the client knows what you are using, because it's not an issue of it being legal, it's an issue of the client finding out what you are doing and using in the background and getting pissed off. So you are better off making sure you bill and show what they are paying for. That they are paying you to build whatever it is, and that you are using wix.
