How do you usually choose a color palette?

Hello everyone,,
Maybe this is one of the most asked questions in general, talking about design, but I wanted to ask this one in a more detailed way since I'm a beginner web-designer and I think I really need help this time.

So, let's suppose you should make a website. You created your sitemap, you created your wire-frames and so on. Now you have to create https://mobdro.bio/ Lucky Patcher Kodi a decent looking artwork before really develop your website. All is perfect, but there's just one little problem. The company that needs the website has a really terrible logo. This logo has like five different colors and they can't change it. It seems one of those old fashioned logo from the 80s. The colors are cyan, blue, yellow, in two shades, a little bit of magenta, a little bit of black and a little bit of white.

Now, I'm curios, in this case that appears to be a little bit difficult, how would you choose a properly color palette for this website? And how would you apply it?

    Hello,

    There are a number of ways that you could do this. But the main one that i would go with would be to select a main colour from the ones that you have in the logo and choose another as an accent colour, allowing for it to contrast well but not too much.

    The other colours can be incorporated for different Header Styles and other elements like that.

    Adobe has a website with most popular color palettes being used.
    The colors can be used for inspiration or you can use them as well on your website.

    Very helpful when your stuck trying to choose a color for your website.


    Search for Adobe Kuler and click on Explore on top left hand corner.

    I study the logo of the company or organization, Type of the company or organization. Depend of that i set color palette. Color palette will help you to select text or accent color and background color and object color. It is not a one day job. Continue use color palette. Then you will get a good idea about color combination. So keep using the color palette.

    How.. you goto Google and search for the big boys in the same industry and look at what colors they are using. Then you will ask why? Why because these big dollar companies spend a kick ton of money to ensure the colors are right.

    Pepsi back in 2008? spent somewhere in the neighborhood of $1,000,000 for a slight logo and color change

    In the late 90's the BBC spent almost $2,000,000 on the current logo

    BP in 2000 spent in excess of $200,000,000 on their new logo

    Google has spent lord knows how much money over the years to get the right color blue for links.. the recently had a test with black links.. I will bet the tests are ongoing, and over the years.. payroll alone for such tests are probably some absolutely retarded number.

    Color and design is a B I G deal.. and we little guys simply do not have the money to get it right.. so the least we can do is look to those in the same industry and what they have done to look for clues.

    Here is a question for you: why is all Fast Food Restaurant logos Red and Yellow? I cant answer it.. but look for yourself its true, and there is a reason for it. If tomorrow I decided.. hey I am going to start a new drive thru food joint... Id be damn sure to have a Red and Yellow logo! hahaha

      Red with white lettering is most visable / readable colours for a sign, closley followed by red and yellow, so you will see just as many red with white signs as well.

      just cant remeber where i read that but it was years ago now.

      as for the question I would use a colour picker then look that colour up for combos
