Hello Readers,
I've had bad luck with WordPress and the faulty vendor plut-in's that fight
with a WordPress software update leading to the death of my site. I thought
I'd go with blogger.com, but you can't get extra pages to link into any kind of
menu. I've been thru Youtube Videos, Blogger instructions, Google tips on its
own Blogger.com and gotten NOWHERE.
All I want is a simple 2 or 3 page blog to post affiliate offers. Something easy
that doesn't work! Cash is tight and the other "Free Website" creators like Wix and
the others just copy WordPress and put a huge unnecessary photo for a homepage.
Is there an easier way to make a blog somewhere with an easier interface? I
appreciate all replies.

My advice is to give WordPress one more try. I disliked WordPress in the beggining ( 2005-2006 ), and I was looking for alternatives, but WordPress grew in the best Content Management System and today no one can challenge the title.

Agree, it's really hard to find a happy medium among all those WYSIWYG editors. As for WordPress - well, did you try Elementor? Personally, I as a web developer really hate all these visual editors because they are way too heavy and not that user-friendly. And it's hard to maintain it, actually. But if you need just 2-3 pages, as you said, I think, you can still give it a try. Elementor or Divi might help you. Or, you can try some free themes, they usually allow some kind of customizations.
It really depends on your needs.

As for the "huge unnecessary photo for a homepage" - well, I think, it can be removed Yes, the problem is that all of them almost copy the same UI, which does not make an actual difference between them.

If you have seen examples of pages that you need, you can share screenshots or sketches here, maybe we'll find a WP theme that suits you, who knows.
