I'm currently exploring the world of flipping websites and would love some insight from experienced website flippers. I know the importance of having well-optimized, functional websites to increase their resale value, but I'm curious--what top 10 WordPress plugins do buyers typically expect when purchasing a site?

Plugins are needed for certain functions, so if it is a membership
site, you would include a member management plugin.

Other than that, just make sure your WP is functioning and offers
what your buyers are looking for.

People do not buy WP websites for the plugins.

It depends on the purpose of the website. Pluggins are not generic. Just make sure the website is fully functional and optimised able to give value.

Flipping websites is a smart game and having the right WordPress plugins can boost resale value. Buyers often expect Yoast SEO, WP Rocket, Elementor, WooCommerce, Wordfence Security, UpdraftPlus, MonsterInsights, WPForms, Rank Math, and Smush for performance, security, and functionality. Optimizing for speed, SEO, and user experience makes a huge difference. Profit big by flipping smart.

It really depends. People want traffic and business, not plugins.
The most essential plugins are probably Yoast SEO, Worfence, and Contact form 7. The rest depends on the website niche.

When flipping websites, buyers expect essential WordPress plugins for SEO (Yoast SEO, Rank Math), performance (WP Rocket, Smush), security (Wordfence, UpdraftPlus), and monetization (Ad Inserter, Pretty Links). These plugins enhance speed, security, and revenue potential, making the website more valuable, scalable, and easier to manage.

plugins don't matter. speed, security, and performance of the website matters.

So from my experience of flipping sites there are some basics that buyers generally will expect. Recommended to use Yoast SEO or Rank Math for SEO, and WP Rocket to have a fast site. If you are using a page builder, the two most popular one, Elementor or WPBakery is a must. If it's ecommerce then WooCommerce is a have to. I alway add UpdraftPlus for backups and Wordfence to keep the security tight. For images Smush or ShortPixel performs well. Buyers also like having a basic form plugin like Contact Form 7 and certainly Akismet to keep the spam away. These all add to the sense that the site is stable and prepared to launch.
