Images not showing on site

WEB DESIGN

Hello Guys,

I just uploaded files (web pages and image files) unto a site but the images are not showing on the site. What could be responsible for this?

Try to visit the link directly and if see the image,
Hot link protection may cause the problem,
Deactivate it, then solves the problem.

  on some servers you have to chmod (change permissions) on images from 644 to 666 or rw-rw-rw before they are actually viewable.
  
  you can change permissions to files using most FTP programs or from within your cpanel's File Manager

Also make sure the folder your images are in is a legal name. For example you can't use a folder called "icon" I found out the hard way.

  Another thing to look at that has happened to me is this;
  
  I had the file location in my HTML as src img="images/---.jpg. Note the lower case "i" in images.
  
  On my host side the folder was Images, a capital I. My images were not showing up. I changed the capital I to lowercase and problem solved.
