Problems With Choosing The Wireframes

The need for wireframes is ever present in our dear business of web design. Being able to effectively diagram a site's information and navigation proves helpful in the beginning concept stages, especially when presenting to people outside the domain of UI, IA and design. But selecting the wireframe tool that's right for you can be challenging helping you build diagrams and organize information quickly, effectively and successfully.Could someone help me out in choosing the best wireframes.Thanks

    Over the years I have found that HTML is the best wire frame available. Using it gives you a head start to transition to the real site because the HTML is already there to update with the actual site elements. You just use graphic place holders, Lorem Ipsum, etc for layout purposes.

    If you are presenting the site design to the uninitiated they don't really care what format they are looking at. Hell, they don't usually know what format your using. Additionally, HTML files can be PDFed so you can make the wire frame available to your clients in that format. Need a graphic instead? Screen Shot it.

    Want a flow chart? HTML works there too.

    I've used Axure, iRise, and other software to accomplish this chore, and I have always gone back to HTML.

    However, if you prefer to use some sort of software then I would suggest Pencil Project. It is released under GPL so it is free. It is a FF add-on.

    I don't use wireframes much, but when I do, I go with the 960 grid system. Highly flexible.
