Hello,

I am in desperate need of technical help. I have created a video as part of course work for media studies and I am now about to upload it onto my blog. I have it as a flash file on my USB. The problem is that I don't want anyone to use it (which they will if they have the chance to). I need a video hosting website which I can upload my video onto and only I can use the code to embed it onto my blog (or any other solutions you might now!)

Please help!!!

    Hello,

Try Vimeo. Set up a free account at vimeo.com and upload your video.

While your video is uploading, find and click on Privacy in the left toolbar.

Select Private and then select an additional option for sharing the video.
Such as no one else can view, only your contacts can view or password protect.

After the video has uploaded you can embed it to your site and no one else will be able to view it.

Let me know if this helps, thanks!

I've tried vimeo but basically what I want to do is put the video onto my blog but stop other people from taking that video so if I was to use a video hosting website I am the only person who can use the embed code and no one else.

Oh okay, is the blog on your server? If so you can upload it to your server and insert the movie as flash. That would remove any embedding options.

    Thanks

Also if you do not want to allow that people would watch your video, just add to .htaccess the Deny codes and insert Allow for your IP if you want just let you self in to the actual video.

I want others to see it but not to take it if that makes any sense!
