Another option is Wordpress.com, although I've never tried using it.

any software for free website creation , is that what you wanted to ask .....

well depends on which language you want to use .... tell me what sort of website you want to me ... and i'll suggest .. if you are very new and don't have any programming background then i'd suggest , wordpress blogs or blogger blog first .. play around with them for a while .....

and even if you are done , with that , stick with wordpress they are seo friendly and easy to maintain

There are lots of blogging sites you can choose from, like livejournal.com and blogger.com, which allow some CSS tweaking. Or you can go to weebly.com which fairly WYSIWIG. These sites are good for a beginner to begin website development. Additionally, livejournal and blogger allows insertion of code, if you have any.

If you want to play around with a local server, without much hassles, install and load xamplite. This is an all-in-one installation of a web server, database and PHP server, which you can easily install on your home computer.

    Good luck.

Gtown, you might be a bit more specific and you'll get a far more relative reply and good quality help.

          Hi Gtown,

I offer free squeeze page templates if you do have a hosting account. If not, you might consider Wordpress or even a Squidoo Lens. There are advantages and disadvantages to every option. If budget is your primary concern, Wordpress and Squidoo give you a lot of power and exposure for free.

I believe Blogger is as simple as it gets. Though I guess a blog isn't an authentic "website" in some ways.

I put several gigs of completely free flash website templates on one of my websites for fellow Warrior members only. It's in my signature line. Don't give the code to anyone that is not a Warrior please. Thanks.
