Offline Biz websites-design work needed

Hey Everyone,

I've recently started doing some offline business consulting, and am about to need some sites done for clients and myself.

Web design is not my thing (!), but I do have a preference for wordpress as it means we'll be able to more easily update and make changes ourselves. If you have better suggestions I'm all ears.

I'm looking for someone who has some experience doing sites for offline (normal!!) businesses, not just internet marketing. I'll be looking to do one simple site (for a contractor's business) to start, and if all goes well, there'll be 2 or 3 more jobs behind that one. All will consist of a mix of static and blog type pages.

One of the jobs will be for my own company. It will be 2 silos - one being for video production, the other for business marketing consulting.

I intend to ramp up the offline consultancy, so would think this could lead to plenty more work for the right person.

If you're interested in doing this work, and have some examples of your work, I'd love to hear from you.

    Hello. My wife and I are a web design team... she does the graphical design (has a BS in Graphic Design) and I do the theme customization (been programming web applications and websites for over 10 years).

    Wow, that's a good pitch Nick, not gonna compete with you on this one!

    To busy with ongoing projects currently anyway... that voodoo-thing I started doing is attracting more clients than I ever knew existed and they keep coming back!

      We have a similar thing to Nick and his wife going on - check out our site in my signature.

      We have made sites for our local offline business community here in the UK which include Hair Salon, Carpet Layers and a "school of dance" - a Performance psychologist in London and currently I have a contract with a member of the Local Biz Builders forum for all of his aerial photography clients to do their sites (that's a US one).

      We recently finished up a site for a 100 year old Association of Painters here in the UK and have just finished negotiating a great deal for any of their Students who want to get a presence on the web either during their college years or after they graduate.

      It depends on the job of course but some of these outsourced offline jobs we are able to set up a "cookie cutter" system for the sites so that sites can be finished quickly but without compromising on quality, e.g. our aerial photographers and Paint Students.

      Another of our offline client types are Realtors in the US. We have two regular realtors in the States plus just about to start with another one in the US.

      Again in the US we have a Tennis Coach, a Health Coach and an offline Painting and Decorating business.

      Some of these sites you can see in our portfolio on our site but not all as some of them are very recent, have not had time to update the portfolio

      Our pricing page will give you a guide for this but we would expect to negotiate a different deal for this kind of thing.

    Thanks for the responses so far guys. I'm in the middle of delivering a huge client project to deadline, so will be in touch soon after finishing and regaining my sanity.

    Keep any offers coming - it's great to build up a few options, as we all have strengths in different areas.
