I am a newby. I have just put up my first wordpress blog and got it indexed. Google has taken part of one of the articles for the site description when you search it on google. I had an html site once where there was an area I put in a site description. I wrote that in the description area and that's what displayed on google. How do I do that with a word press blog?

Also this is the type of blog I have
Theme Revolution Lifestyle with 0 WidgetsYou are using WordPress 2.9.2.

I need to know where to edit the title, the meta keywords, and the meta description? (if those are the right names)

Thanks x

I found something called "all in one seo" plug in. I uploaded it to the blog but I am not sure how to configure it. Is this what I need? Is there any place that talks about the set up for this? I did a search here but didn't find anything on this plug in. Is there a better one? Anyone?

    Thanks X

Yes, that's what you need. Generally, the default configuration is fine. All you need to do is put in the name of the site, the description and keywords in the sections marked Home Title, Home Description and Home Keywords. Then click update. For plugin support, click on the FAQS link under All in One SEO Plugin Options then support/report bug/suggest feature.

Another one virtually the same is Platinum SEO plugin.

Here's an article I wrote a while ago on configuring the All-in-One-SEO plugin:

Be sure to read through the comments, because there's more detail in them along with explanations.

      Cheers,
