I am currently converting a Flash website to XHTML/CSS and I have encountered a font I don't know the name of.

Here's a screenshot:

I've already checked if it's Arial, Verdana and Tahoma etc.

Do any of you Warriors know the name of this font?

It looks to me like a match with Futura.

      Thanks RJP.

I highly doubt it's a web safe font too. I suppose I'll have to go with Arial.

Because there is a limit in that forum. It's there for good reasons.

Making demands and throwing a fit isn't a useful way to get answers.

I also think its futura. You can use it in Flash buddy. There is no way to display it as a text. It is not websafe font. I would never suggest using it unless you are using it in Flash.

Dudes, Dudesses, fellow slackers. Do not fear the font!

Seriously, all those web-safe fonts went the way of font-safe colors. Even the Neanderthals stuck on IE6 are free of the font monoculture!

Google "Font Squirrel" and check out code[dot]google[dot]com[slash]webfonts. Be free! Don't let the man take you down!

Seriously, over the past year, a lot of us on the coding side have been pushing and experimenting with webfonts - the ability to send fonts to the browser the same way you send graphics. It works, is cross-browser, degrades gracefully, and performs great.

Read up on "webfonts" and the work over on Font Squirrel - legal evn on the most blatantly commercial launch-promoting, referrer-hiding, affiliate-cloaking squeeze page.

Futura is not available - but if you check the list of free font-face kits you get close. If your heart is set on Futura, check out the commercial font-face kits at Fontspring.

    Arial . . . BEGONE!
