Looking for great WordPress themes

Does anyone have suggestions for great WordPress themes -- versatile enough to be used not just as a blog but also for CMS, squeeze pages, sales letter pages, etc.?

I've used Revolution (back when it was still available but they've changed it to something else) and WP Remix. I'm looking for something better.

Thanks!

    Hi

I think what you might want is a combination of two themes offerd by the same devloper.

I use both of them and they are simple to use.

Flexibility is a very nice FREE theme that allows you to have a lot of control over the way your site will look and feel.
    Flexibility Theme for WordPress

Flexsqueeze is NOT free. It does everything that Flexibility does, but it also has built in Squeeze Pages. With the push of a button, you can make a squeeze page, then go on to customize it to look exactly the way you want it to.

Like I said, I use both of these. I also have many clients that I have setup Flexibility on their websites, did the customization for them, now they can just add in the posts they want and have a cool looking site.

    Hope that helps you.

    Have a Great Day!

I specialize in custom WordPress themes coded to be light weight.
A lot of the best premium themes out there have that as a major flaw, they are very heavy and can cause loading or worse issues. Be careful what you purchase, do research on it, make sure there is a live demo so you can see how well it performs.
Turn JavaScript off in your browser when viewing it to see what stops working. Some of them use JavaScript for the drop menus to function, and other important items that may not work without JavaScript.

Just be thorough when checking the theme out.

    Check out Unique Blog Designs!

Google that name! They design some of the most professional WordPress themes that you will find.

People such as John Chow, Clickbooth, Anthony Robbins, and Yahoo's blog use them.

They make an Affiliate Theme, Sales Page Theme, Squeeze Page Theme, and they can custom design one for you that is unique and unlike anyone else's on the planet.

    Go check em out!

I love everything from WooThemes - I've had good luck and bad luck with Theme Forest. The thing about Theme Forest is that the themes are developed by a bunch of different people - and the backend / documentation varies on each one. WooThemes is made from one company and have a consistent framework.

I vote also for themeforest, some great designers and coders are creating some great themes in this marketplace. I'm currently working on my own theme for themeforest.

I've always thought that StudioPress had good themes for businesses. I'm not sure how it would be for sales pages.

Check out the themes at WebDesignLessons.com. They have a lot of them and they are all of high quality.

They have a bunch of free ones if you scroll down and look for them. The paid ones are reasonable, around $35 each.

      Good Luck!

I recently came across this free Theme at wp.org and am very impressed with its flexibility and options.

WordPress › Graphene Free WordPress Themes

"The Graphene theme for WordPress 3.0 is a stylish, neat, and tight WordPress theme supporting 2 widget areas, with the ability to determine the number of columns to display in the footer widget area. It has built-in Twitter widget, allows for customisable header and background through the WordPress admin, built-in AdSense placement and AddThis social sharing button, supports custom menu with drop-down navigation of up to 5 levels deep, and threaded comments of up to 10 levels deep! A one-column, full-width page template without the sidebar is included. You can hide post parameters, show post author's gravatar, use different widgets for the front page than the rest of the website, and specify font styles for header and content texts. The codes are written so that you can easily override or add functionality to the theme by using your own child theme without altering the parent theme's code. Seriously, there's too many features for this theme to describe them all here! This theme has been tested and confirmed compatible with IE6, IE7, IE8, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Safari. Translations included: Malay, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, French, Polish, and German. See this theme's changelog."

I am thinking of using this as the base for a wordpress mini site set.

Take a look at Headway Theme. Easy to use and powerful with the 'headway hooks'. Also includes a visual editor.
