Sorry guys, I just can't figure this one out on my own. Basically the problem is I want to create a number of pages but I don't want them to be directly listed under "Pages" widget. I was thinking the best option would be to create a custom menu (using the widget) for those new pages. But I don't want them to show up under the Pages widget at the same time. I tried setting the pages as "private" so that they wouldn't be viewable on the Pages widget but still accessible, but then I couldn't add them to a custom menu at that point.

So does anyone know any tricks to keep them off the Pages widget then allow them on a custom menu? Or am I going to have to get rid of the pages widget and create a custom menu for my normal pages then a custom menu for my new pages?

    Add this plug-in
WordPress › Exclude Pages WordPress Plugins

It will add a block to the page editor and allow you to exclude the page from common menus. eg. standard widgets.
    Unchecked is excluded.

Then if you have custom menus available in your theme ou should be able to add a custom menu that way with these pages.

Don't forget that Wordpress pages don't have RSS feeds.

If you are building pages, and want to ping the search engines with RSS feeds, be sure to use a plugin like "RSS Includes Pages".

    Just a suggestion.
