Looking for some quick help with Paint Shop Pro

I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction - I am trying to use Paint Shop Pro to edit a few graphics that came with some themes and change them to have the appropriate company name, etc - the problem is that the images don't seem to have separate layers so that I can remove the demo layer and replace it with my own logo.

Are there any Paint Shop Pro experts that could direct me on how to deal with this? I am sure it is probably really easy to do, but I am horrible with graphics and just can't seem to locate how to deal with this in my searching.

Thanks in advance

Hi, I would say that using a more fully featured graphic editor would be a good place to start,

Of course not everyone can afford photoshop, however there is a good option available that is free.

It is GIMP, which comes for both MAC OSX and windows platforms.

The interface is close to photoshop with enough minor differences so as to not infringe on copyrights.

Most of the graphics that you see in template packages are created with photoshop, so using photoshop or GIMP is really your best option to edit the graphics.

just google GIMP and you will find it, there is a lot of tutorials and help sites out there for this so you can get up and running in a short time.

    just a few thoughts,

Thanks Tim -- Gimp seems pretty good so far. I now just need to figure out how to change the layer with the text - looks like there may be issues in doing this without making a few extra steps -- any tips?

A text layer in psd format will show as a layer in gimp that you cannot edit, to change it requires you to delete the layer. then re-enter your text and then save as a xcf file instead of a psd this is gimps default . Now you can re-edit the text to your hearts content.
