Adding a new domain to Hostgator?

Hi Folks,
here's a question which may save me some time stumbling around inside Hostgator.
I have a hosting account, but want to use it for a new domain - how do I set up the new domain with the hosting account?

just login to cpanel - select addon domains - fill in the details - leave the document root as public_html/your new domain.com - filled in automatically just leave it

then click add domain

done !!

When you purchased the domain did you change the DNS so it is pointing to your Hostgator account? Then just do as trukkerz says .

  As long as you have a plan where you can have unlimited or more than one domain, just use HostGators Addon Domain feature in the cpanel to add another domain. If you are still having trouble simply talk to one of their support members via chat.
