Need help understanding Page Source details

Hi there,

Can anyone help me decipher something on the Page Source of a site?

metaname="keywords" content="DEFAULT_META_KEY" />

<metaname="description" content="DEFAULT_META_DESC

Does this mean that this just picks up the details from the content on the site rather than what you physically put on it?

    Those are typically considered like "tokens" of a sort and can be used for parsing by a script and replacing with actual data... either that or they're just placement holders to let you know what data goes there.

    <metaname="description" content="DEFAULT_META_DESC

    instead of DEFAULT_META_KEY put in your keywords separated by commas
    instead of DEFAULT_META_DESC(RIPTION) put in what your website is about - a description. Make sure they are between the braCkets as they are needed for the code.
