Hey folks, I have set up a wordpress blog and have a some experience in this. Here is my problem. I really like the default header logo and font and it goes well with the theme of the site. But I need to change the wording to my blog name.

Here is a preview of the font though it would apply to any site.
I am wanting to change where it says 13 floor to my blog name but have the exact same style and everything as it is at right now.

13Floor Theme | Just another WordPress weblog

I have photoshop but don't really know much about it. I am completely lost and would be hugely thankful for some direction. I will send ya back some lovin' somehow.

Thanks
Brandon

wp-admin > Settings > General... that's kinda basic - how to change the blog title.

Is that your site?... or what do you want with that site?

One moment you talk about wording, next you talk about fonts.
    Decide which one.

Try to ask a targeted, precise question.

No that is the default template. I want to change the wording from 13 Floor which is the image logo, to my Blog name.

So instead of 13 Floor it will say BrandonEllis but I want to edit it I guess so I can keep the same font and design that it is currently at.

      Please excuse the stupid talk

        Hi Brandon
For graphics, unless you know the font name used in the original image, and then you have that font installed on your compuer, you will have to guess or find one that's close. Try this site to upload your logo and see if it can identify the font for you WhatTheFont! « MyFonts

Once you find the font, you will need to create a new graphic, put whatever text on it you want, using the desired font.

Using the word "default" is/was the misleading part!

In WP the "default" theme (not template, btw!) is the one that comes with the downloaded WP package. Before it was the "Kubrick", since WodPress 3 it is called TwentyTen.

So, no, you are not talking about changing the "default"... you are talking about how to change the header image in the theme installed on your blog. Your theme is called "13Floor"... not "default".

p.s. BTW Istvan? You said the default changed after Wodpress 3. It's actually Wordpress 3! Hope that helps.

    Hi Brandon
That particular image is named logo.png in the theme folder and is 125x32 pixels in size. If you create a new image in Photoshop - make it the exact same size - then upload it to your theme's images folder, it will swap out the default logo for the one you created.

If you change the size and/or name of the image, you will need to look in the css stylesheet for your theme, find where it's calling the logo.png image, and change the file name to whatever you named your image.

If you also changed the size of your logo, change the dimensions of the logo area also within the stylesheet.

    Do the following:

Note: if you have your blog installed a sub directory then add the sub directory name right after the ".com/". So if your sub directory is called "blog" then upload the image to yourdomain.com/blog/wp-content/themes/13Floor/images

    Here's the image:
