Plain Text Emails with Hyperlinks?

Is it even possible to send a plain text email with hyperlinks? It seems to me that I've seen these but really don't know how they work. I know how to make a hyperlink of course but getting them to show up in a text email is a different matter.

Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Chuck, it really depends on the recipients email client - and even then, how people have their emails receipts set-up.

You can really only add the link (using http:// )- and hope for the best . . .

I send out both html and text newsletters to my list. The html ones look great but of course the text ones don't! BUT, I still want the ones that prefer text to be able to click on links - that's the part I'm having trouble with.

      thanks,

Chuck - like I mentioned before - no matter what format you send your emails out in - it all depends on how your Customer has THEIR email set up.

Your subscriber decides whether to have emails received in HTML, text, links clickable / non-clickable, images showing / not showing, even font size, type etc etc

That means that you send out the best you can (as you do now) - and hope that it is noticed when it gets there. If your content is good, people who choose to receive text only non-clickable links will make the effort to copy and paste a link just to find out more.

Hope that explains a bit better.

I think that's possible in Mozilla Thunderbird.
