Minisite body width - help needed

Hi,


I'm trying to change the body backround width from 819 to about 1024 with Dreamweaver. And my minisite body (where content is) from 670 to 870 or so.

I get my header and footer done without problems. Body is all messy. I get a line of backround color running down from right side of body.


Can someone guide and help me out with this.

    Hi Margo,

    Would help to have a link to your site, or see some code extracts. I assume you are using CSS, so just try putting a #wrapper <div> around your main site elements and control mini-site width there. Then control the body width directly with a CSS body {max-width: 1024px;}.

    The background on right sounds like you are not centering the layout. Use #wrapper {width: 870px; margin: 0 auto;} to do this.

      I don't know it this will help, but I wanted to change website size in dreamwaever too.. I went back to photoshop and remade my minsite template at my new measurements then made a new folder and wentback to dreamweaver... and walla! It worked too. Hope it helps.
