How To Change A WP Sub- Directory To Root Directory

hello there,

i have a WP that i have been playing around with for sometime. but right now i want the Wp changed from the sub directory to the main page. ive tried doing this all day but i just cant get it done. i am a moron when it comes to wp

please i need help desperately!

    There are several ways to do it... depending on how comfortable you are with FTP and other web stuff.

    Here is a relatively simple way to do it:
    1. Login to your wp-admin and go > Settings > General
    2. Change the 2 lines/fields where it says
    WordPress address (URL)
    Site address (URL) - replace example.com/subdir with example.com
    (no slash)
    3. Save changes and you will get a BIG ERROR message
    4. Disregard the error message and do NOT try to look at your blog - yet
    5. Did I say do not try to look at your blog?
    6. Move all the WP files and directories from the subdir to the root
    7. NOW you can look at your blog

      nice guide, thank you. but I have to ask... what happens if I ignore your warning on stop 5?

        You will start panicking because it doesn't work and you will click on every possible buttons/links until you defintely f**ck up your blog
