Hi Everybody,

I need some quick help. I am designing a professional website for a group in my School. I am done with everything and it is working fine. But I don't like the way, the dropdown menu appears.

I have created a drop down menu which is situated just below the header of the page. I used only CSS( like nested ul and li). But when I hover over the main menu, the sub menus appear suddenly. I need to put some smooth animation like something which jQuery does.

Can I use any jQuery plugin which will just modify the current CSS drop down to something nice with smooth effects? If so, please share the plugin. Or if not, then please suggest some techniques which could give the required results.

Your help will be appreciated!!

    hello - rather than use a plugin, I would first play around with:
    • .slideToggle()
    • .slideUp() or .slideDown()
    Since you already have the css in place, it might be easier to adopt an existing function - rather than implement a plugin.

      ^^^ I agree with this. I know we live in an age of the "plugin - website in a day type of mentality" but nothing beats actually KNOWING how to code and create your own custom "plugins".
