I need help with Wordpress

Wordpress is somewhat easy, but finding instructions for easy things is not all that easy. For example, when I put an Adsense 728x90 leaderboard ad on my blog it extends into the sideboard menu and does not look good. I know how to move the menu from side to side but how to I shrink the bar so it does not interfere with the Adsense leaderboard?
Also, where can I find a complete tutorial for Wordpress?

    For a complete tutorial on wordpress go to wordpress.org and do a search for what you want. I've learned a ton of thing just by rummaging through the site.

    Unfortunately WP is so huge and multifunctional that there's no way of having everything at your fingertips.

      What may be happening is the space your adding the 728x90 leaderboard ad is smaller than 728 px. It might look that big, but when you take into consideration CSS for the space it may be small. Try putting a smaller sized ad and see if that works better.

        Why not use a 468x60 leaderboard instead?

        You can do this in the style.css, but you are probably going to have to change quite a bit of code and images to make it work.

        The alternative is to make your theme wider in the style.css.

    The biggest problem by far with free wordpress themes is there's NO qaulity support or free upgrades to fix bugs
