I need Dreamweaver help!

ok, I may sound a little dumb as I am not really a webmaster but am learning. I am trying to install Dreamweaver and I get to a certain point in the install and it says I have to close/shut down Internet Explorer before I can continue. I don't have internet explorer open/on at the time. Does this just come on with the computer/internet boot up?

A couple questions then.

1. Can I turn this off and still be able to turn it back on without anything happening with the rest of my computer?

2. Where do I go and how do I turn it off if I can?

Any links or suggestions would help if you can.

thank you.

    That's weird.

Are you certain that IE is not running? I have never seen this occur. If you click on CTRL-ALT-DEL together and access the Task Manager and click on the Programs tab, does it show Internet Explorer running? If it does, then end the program.

    Hope this helps,

Or, if that message still persists, do a complete reboot of your system and then try to install Dreamweaver again.

Or, if that fails, try installing it from SAFE MODE - tap the F8 key while computer is at its initial booting stage.

This happens sometimes when you install Dreamweaver. To get rid of this message, press ctrl+alt+del key and click programs tab and find Explorer and give end task, you system will restart and it will boot normally.
