It looks like you either forgot to upload your images or you're not keeping the folder structure the same when you upload. Also, depending on the source of the Dreamweaver template, the images could be stored in Dreamweavers "asset" folder. If this is the case, I'd recommend moving all images to 1 folder next to your webpage file and rename it images or img, or whatever you want, then re-link to them. And use FileZilla to upload. (it's a free utility). If you're going to continue to use Dreaweaver to connect and upload, you need to go into site definition and setup your remote info and local info. Dreamweavers ftp client needs to know where it's pulling images from and where it's putting them.

There are a few things wrong - you are referencing images off your hard drive directly - file:///C|......... (where it should look something like images/myimage.jpg) This is because your html page is save in \Documents\Unamed site 1\grey.html and you are trying to link to images saved on your desktop

All the files need to be in the same location - not in directories all over you computer. The easiest way in DW to do this is to use the site manage, setup a new site and when you link to files, it will alert you if they are stored elsewhere and let you copy them to correct location.

      The background is an image.

      Your site isn't setup properly.

Click: Site > Manage Sites > New.

This is your answer. Don't side step it!
