How do you split testing in WP?

I'm struggling to get Google Website Optimizer working on my WordPress blog. I've tried a couple of plugins but it just seems really complicated and difficult to get working.
Does anyone have a simple easy way to do split testing that works.
You're advice would be much appreciated - or if you know of a good post on this forum I can read.
