Site doesn't work in Explorer 8 ???

Hi Warriors,

Looking for feedback on an issue that now seems to have been corrected.

I just discovered (because I've been using Firefox lately) that my sites stopped showing properly in IE8. These are Wordpress sites but they were not displaying as blogs - just content. Natural Anxiety Remedies is one of several sites that did that, and it was the same with all of my blog sites (about 8 of them).

My host said they were working fine and that I should contact my webmaster if I'm having problems displaying my sites in certain browsers.

Since I set up my own sites, I rely on the host service to make sure everything works (namely, if I install Wordpress that the content I add will automatically work and show as a blog).

So my question is:

Does anyone know what would cause my blogs to show as text instead of graphically formatted blogs?

As I said, I just tested them again in IE8 & Firefox and they seem okay now. Perhaps they did something this morning to fix them.

But I still have a problem with this blog:

http://fitnesshowtoguide.com/ comes up with a Forbidden Error 404 in both IE8 and Firefox.

And I just noticed this contact form page doesn't work on my other site:
http://sylviadickens.com/contactform/ - this gives me a 403 Forbidden error message. This is NOT a blog site.

My guess is that when they switched everyone to a new server a month or so ago, it caused a problem with my sites.

Anyway, Just looking for feedback now (unless you have an idea why my fitness site and my own site are giving me those errors.) I've submitted another support ticket on this last one but no answer yet.

Thanks.

Sylvia

The sites will load as just text, if the style sheets won't load.

The first site is working for me.

The second one doesn't work for me either but if I click the link in your site to go to the contact page, it works. The link you show here doesn't have a page. When you don't specify a page, it will try pages that start with the name "index." Do you have a page named "index.xxxx" in that directory? If not, try putting one there.

    Hi Sylvia

To confirm what Kirk said, your contact form works fine at http://sylviadickens.com/contactform/contactus.php. So an index.php or index.html file placed here with a redirect to contactus.php would fix that.

The first link also works fine for me, in both Chrome & Firefox (running LINUX so don't have Explorer on this workstation). However the W3C Markup Validator at The W3C Markup Validation Service found 33 errors and 10 warnings with the HTML on this page - you may want to look there for an idea as to why it won't display for you.

Best of luck with your sites

    Bill
