Hey, recently I created a website for a local offline client, and it works fine on opera, and firefox, but when I open it up on internet explorer, everything is just scattered and looks completely ugly lol. I dont know how to fix this, has anyone experienced this problem, and what did you do to fix this?..This theme template was made in artisteer 3 as well.

Kind Regards

Unfortunately programs like Artisteer create terrible HTML, and Internet Explorer is a particularly finicky browser.

You might try running your site through the W3C validator tool. It will produce a list of the invalid HTML in your site, which may lead you to the cause of your problem:

    The W3C Markup Validation Service

Also, as wcardinal said, it would really help if we knew your URL!

As well as the above comments/suggestions there is also this from Wordpress.org blog regarding WordPress 3.2 and above and the retirement of support for IE6, etc: Snippet below and link to full article:

"Under the hood there have been a number of improvements, not the least of which is the streamlining enabled by our previously announced plan of retiring support for PHP4, older versions of MySQL, and legacy browsers like IE6, which allows us to take advantage of more features enabled by new technologies."

WordPress › WordPress 3.2 now available

So did you check which versions you were using of WP and as that has only just come out, is Artisteer ok with WP3.2 and above?

      How about the IE thng?

      Just some thoughts..

      Cheers, Sue

The problem could be in the Wordpress theme you installed. Some themes are optimized for all browsers, while others look good in Firefox and disastrous in IE.

So, you can either modify the theme you installed (so it looks good in IE), or find a theme that looks good in each and every browser out there.

Ye, these are the joys of selling website building services to businesses.
