Wordpress Slide Show plugin ?

I tried many slideshow plugin, but didn't find anyone of then attractive. I may be missing some plugins.
Please suggest me some easy/simple slideshow plugin which can show images from a directory or which has option to upload image.

Also, is there any plugin which can show chosen post as slideshow?

    There are many choice in the wordpres extend section such as portfolio slideshow, cycle, etc.
    and some of them require you to modify your theme.
