I have a situation on my blog,

The new and the present post appears on the home page, and I want one post there at a time while the title for rest will be at the side bar. How can I resolve that?

    1. the solution is in your own admin panel... WHY don't you look around there?
    Settings > Reading > show # posts

    2. Recent posts widget?

    Use the admin panel, as pointed above by Istvan, and set your no. of posts to 1.

    Then use the "Recent Posts" widget to show your other posts. Though your first post, i.e the one on your front page, will also show up in the list.
