I have been using NVU and it's really great for my needs. But I can't seem to control the formatting of the source html. I will indent the source html appropriately but when I switch back from other modes, all my indents are gone!

Is there a setting so that my indents will be retained?

Thanks!

Yep - this is a VERY annoying problem with Nvu but AFAIK there is no solution, I hunted for one myself for quite a while. I use Dreamweaver myself, but I use Nvu with my seminar students since it's opensource.

Have you tried Komposer? I've not had a chance to install and try it yet but I've been meaning to for a while in the hope that this is on thing they fixed. I've got a couple of seminars coming up next month so would be interested to hear if anyone knows of either a solution to this in Nvu, or if Komposer fixes it.

OK - just so you don't waste your time... I just tried Komposer and it's just the same!

        Thanks Bill!

Guess I just have to stick with Dreamweaver for now until they do something about it.

hi wandererw, i started with NVU as well but i dropped after a few weeks because i find that there are too many software bugs. in addition, there are limited number of functions.

i went over to microsoft frontpage and found the interface more powerful and similar to other office products. but if you are at an advanced level, you might want to use dreamweaver or microsoft expression instead.

as for now, i suggest you drop NVU. give me PM if you need personal assistance.
