Hi

anyone know of a good colour picker for mac that shows the formula as well with the numbers and letters

I don't know if it works on Mac because I am PC-based, but the one I use is free and can be downloaded at AllGraphicsTools.com - graphic software, 3d graphic software free download center.. Look for Free HTML Color Picker. It's a very simple, non-invasive program that allows you to move the eyedropper over the screen and click your color. It will return the six-digit HTML code as well as the RGB values and you can have it automatically copy to the clipboard when you click. Hope this helps.

If your using Photoshop Kuler (by Adobe) is built into CS5 - That picks really great color schemes. Here is a link to the website if your not using PS CS5 -http://kuler.adobe.com/
