need help w/wordpress-- "comments closed"--need to allow comments!

My site has all posts "comments closed" --- it works on pages but not posts. I have followed every detail provided by WP forum (deactivate and reactivate plugins, change theme, etc. etc.) and the settings are set to allow anyone to comment. But it doesn't open the ability for comments to be made for registered users either. In other words, there ain't no comments being taken on any posts!!!
Any one I can trust to check it out? Go to GeorgiaDawgHouse.com and see the comments are available on pages but not posts.

      The only way to get it to work was to allow the user to "log in" but they don't have to --- it would be nice to get rid of the phrase "log in" but don't know how....This could be discouraging comments since one may think they need to login or register.

        Have you checked the Discussion Settings in the Settings section of the Dashboard?

        It sounds like it is currently set to "Users must be registered and logged in to comment" which is a setting you can de-select.
